I appreciate your perspective on this, but if I may I would like to offer what I am learning...

Jeremiah says "The heart is wicked and deceitful beyond all things... and Ezekial says, "So I will give them a new heart..."

I've often heard the word "heart" is translated as "the center for all physical and spiritual life, the soul or the mind, as it is the fountain and seat of the thoughts. In fact that's what Strong's concordance translates it to be. With that in mind, Here are the questions that I am finding answers to.

The scripture talks of renewing the mind. We are told the old is gone and the new has come.. We have been given the life of Christ, we are crucified, we no longer live... The work is done, we are now seen IN Christ... Could it be that our heart IS good, but our programming is faulty... therefore we must renew our minds? Could it be that a person's heart is good, but their minds are not renewed to the truth of who they are and whose mind they have? Therefore they respond out of the old way of thinking.

Food for thought....

Really good to see you vlogging again!! You got me motivated to make sure my heart is full of the "better" things. I'm sure some of the overflow that comes from my heart has not been pleasing to God. But it seems like He always makes me aware of it and gives me a chance to correct it. If I let Him , He can fill me and my cup!! Then my overflow will be pleasing. Thank you Jesus. Thank you Leigh for letting me ramble!!

I have missed this and missed you!

I really wish I would have had the time this morning to see this because it might have made for a better outcome of my day. Oh the spilling out today was not a good thing, but there is tomorrow. Unless you post something new, I will watch this again tomorrow and try to change what I "spill" out.

Love seeing you back and am looking forward to seeing you more often. My coffee + you = espresso!!

I thought I'd add that if we find that the overflowing of our heart is spilling out in bitter words, resentful attitudes, gossip, etc... God is showing our heart to us so that we can come to Him, repent and receive healing. I can't 'make' myself be good on my own, I need God to show me the ways of heart, repent and go forward in the healing strength of His Holy Spirit. Even if we are 'doing good', we may still need God to show us our whole heart: 2 Chronicles 25:2 ~ And he did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, yet not with a whole heart.

This was very good food for thought. I agree with Julie that we need to renew our mind daily...so that overflow WILL be good. And we have to make a choice also! Also LOVE your hair! Glad you are vlogging again - pls keep it coming, I really enjoy them!
