Little Horn con't...

Lord Jesus, this morning we studied some great things about the end times. Daniel 7:24 introduces the "little horn" known as Satan. Then 2 Thes.2:1-10 is great about explaining what some of the characteristics of the man of lawlessness. And the Rev. 13:1-8 was my favorite scripture. This more explaining the detailed appearance of the "Beast". There were some amazing details that came out! I am wanting to shout!! GO GOD!! And 1 John 2:18 was more description.

I don't even know what to type or where to start...................... OK - i have myself together! The Beast, the antichrist, the man of lawlessness - whatever one prefers - will claim to be God, will perform counterfeit miracles, sign, and wonders, will exalt himself............ all those obvious things that i have always been aware of. But i think it was really interesting that in Rev. 13:1-8 it explains that he will be given power. The antichrist will be given the power of Satan - "The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority. " verse 2. So does that mean Satan will be powerless for a time - i don't think so. He has just given the antichrist the power needed to really do some major harm - harm like i think we have never seen before - power to perform those counterfeit miracles, signs, and wonders. Whatever God does, Satan always counterfeits!

6 He opened his mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in heaven. 7 He was given power to make war against the saints and to conquer them. And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. verse 6-7. Look at this, Satan has given the power to make war and conquer the saints. And given authority. That is something i don't quite understand, but i know this is how God means for it to be and that He still is on His throne, chariot, with the flames of judgment never relenting! I think we have to know that this guy - the antichrist, and there have already been many to come according to 1 John 2:18 which i think is amazing that i have never heard that before, will be impressive. He will be amazing, and he will be one that if you are not careful and in tune with the Holy Spirit will find yourself wanting to follow. Cunning and counterfeiting - Help me to see the little games of the little horn!

But here is the thing that i am shouting about........ According to Rev. 13:3 - "One of the heads of the beast seemed to have had a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed." Do you see that - God will do the final destroying, but Satan and his possey are not invincible - we have the ability to wound him through the power of the Lord Jesus Christ. I am totally going with the Spirit I feel right now and am not sure if this is a correct interpretation - but I think that possibly the prayers of the warriors of Christ have wounded the Beast. He is healed because he is amazing and very powerful, second only to God, but he was wounded, fatally wounded. Do you hear that???? God allows him to be wounded and hurt! God will do the final destruction, but we can wound!!! Get on your knees and fight.... Me, my friends, and all who follow our Lord Jesus Christ!

I think our actions can be part of that wounding as well. Standing up for what is right, standing up against what is not acceptable, taking part of the holiest of things even if they cost and i do mean monetarily!, being faithful, being righteous, pursuing holiness, forgiving, accepting, extending mercy, etc..................................................................... Living above mediocrity! But all of the above can only be done effectively and without huge mess-ups with an intense prayer life and an intentional prayer life!!!

I am not fighting against flesh and blood - this is a spiritual war and it is already won!! Praise the Lord. But as time must continue on, even though the outcome is already known, i must press on and wound as i have time and ability! Lord - help us. Empower us, and move us forward!!! I love Your Word!
