311 - "I Am" Blog Study!!!!!!

I found this blog Bible study and am participating today. The writer is wonderful... Join here or go here is you are interested....

Discussion Questions:
1. It was stated in the Lesson that God has made you "once, twice, three times a lady." Where are you in this progression? Obviously we have all been physically born, but are you 'twice a lady'? Have you been born again spiritually? This may be a private matter you'd like to discuss confidentially. If so, email me. If you have already received this gift, write a brief prayer of thanksgiving or testimony.

I became a Christian at 8 or 9 years old. Right before my family moved to New York from Texas. I was born and raised in a Christian home. I do not have a testimony of excitement as some might say, but one of "what could have been". The Lord has spared me from many things - to Him be the glory, but yet I can not explain why certain things did not go hairy - and for that I am forever grateful. (2 times a lady.)

2. Are you three times a lady? Has God given you a stirring deep within your Spirit to be a 'deliverer'? Do you have a desire or are you already meeting a need in the life of the church, a particular ministry (such as jail ministry, food ministry, etc.) or perhaps individuals who share common issues?

I felt the impression on my heart that I would "speak to many" in Junior High. I did not know what that meant at the time and just kind of kept it to myself. It wasn't until I was pregnant with my fourth that God said - It's Time!!!!!!! Boy that was a touchy subject with my hubby. He is great though. Speaking and ministering is life and breath to me. I have to do it - kind of like getting some chocolate - just gotta have it. Ha ha!! So I have now been speaking full-time for about 5-6 years. Some seasons are really full and some are slower. It is whatever He brings together.

He has confirmed my calling over and over again with the use of 2 Chron. 16:9. If he is looking to strengthen someone, I hope that He will see my hands waiving hoping to be picked for His next excursion! It is adventure, a walk with the Lord. I love it. I am not so much a Moses speaker - oh Lord, I can't do this, etc... - I am more of an Isaiah speaker - here am I, send me! Neither one is better than the other, but just my type. I am anxious to be used by Him. I know He has gifted me and I am wiling and ready to go................wherever! Make any sense...

3. Do you ever get tired of waiting for that opportunity to do something
worthwhile for God? Do you ever feel God is using someone else instead of you?

I don't get tired of waiting, i get impatient waiting for the next opportunity. I can hardly wait for Him to call me out again!!!

4. What do you consider 'worthwhile ministry'? Are you like me and sometimes find yourself mistakenly thinking it has to be Big to be Important? Oh yes oh yes!! I can't help but think of a Beth Moore type of ministry as big and important and successful. But for me, God may have sharing a meal or Him with a neighbor as big, exciting, important, and successful!!

5. Have you ever taken a spiritual gifts test? If yes, what are yours? If no, here's a good one from Ephesians 4 Ministry. Will you take it and come back with a response? Knowing some of you like I already do, I can almost pick out what your gift is before you say it. I can't wait to see if I'm right! Teaching, speaking, leadership, giving, and prophesy.

You did it! I am sorry that I sent you to the wrong sight at first, but you found your way! I thought you were asking me about Thankful Thursday instead of the I Am Bible Study. Thanks for sharing your answers.

I was cracking up over an earlier post about a church that inquired about you speaking and said they just had Beth Moore there! Too Funny!

Hi Leigh!

We meet again! I'm so glad you have joined us in the study and sharing your wonderful insights. It sounds like you are in an exciting time in your ministry. I'll pray you remain refreshed and overflowing with His Spirit. I speak as well, though not on your kind of schedule, and I know the feeling of SO wanting the Holy Spirit to work in the lives of every group of women you meet. I'm certain He's already working wonders through you!

Hey, I think I'm an Isaiah-type, too. :) I can feel so much positive energy coming from your words! This is my first time here, but I hope to be back during the study. Great comment about the seasons, too. Some are just going to be more crazy than others. We need to enjoy each for what God brings. Take care.

Leigh,
Your excitement for ministry is contagious in your writing. I love that! I, too, have a testimony of "what could have been" and I am so thankful for that. Blessings to you.
