376 - Whirlwind and back

Hey Everybody - I have not been ignoring your comments and questions - I have been on a whirlwind and back! And now that I am back from all that I have computer problems! Ugh!!

I left on Wednesday in the wee hours of the morning to go to Charlotte, NC to speak that evening. My plane was delayed because of a mechanical problem and they even had to place us on another flight! Yikes!! But all went well and I was able to make it in on time, but with not much time to spare seeing friends!! I will be back though!

I left out of Charlotte again in the wee hours of the morning on Thursday - thank you Natalie for your bed and all the transportation, Carter too - got landed and found out that my husband's best friend from high school mom had passed away. She battled lung cancer almost a year. Clay was asked to give the eulogy - holy cow, can i tell you how well he did and held it together and even made us laugh as well! I was proud of him. She was like a second mom to all those boys, but especially Clay.

So that was Thursday and Friday mostly. Saturday was very relaxing until I remembered a birthday party at the last second. It was great for the girls though. Finally Sunday came and was wonderful. For a change we went to FBC in Carmi. I am one to always wonder what so and so does in that church, but never has the guts to put my kids through all the change of new kids, Sunday school classes, etc... and me having to meet a ton of new people. I am kind of shy - I really am - i promise!! But we did it. It was wonderful. Great Southern Baptist Church that I was unaware of. We had a wonderful time!

Now we are at a new week. I am having to go to different areas of town to log on to wireless since mine is not doing well. It is inconvenient! And that might be stealing, i have not decided yet. Yes, the person doesn't know i am using their wireless, but they are welcome to come by and use mine any time too. ha ha!! We have swim lessons today, etc. That has been great!

My speaking at Charlotte was awesome - not me, but the things the Lord allowed me to see. 2 years ago i was at this same church and spoke on having radical faith. Doing things everyone else calls crazy - like moving to Illinois - but you knowing it was His will. Well after that series a lady named Jennifer came up to me to say that she was quitting her job, nothing else was in place, but she knew this is what God was telling her to do. I thought oh no - she could be taking this too far - How terrible of me, but I was concerned because she had at least one child that i knew of. She did it and waited!!! I saw her this time and she came running up to me and said that she was moving to the Philippines and it was all my fault. She reminded me of her situation 2 years ago. She has been in training for the last years and now God was going to move her to the Philippines to translate Bibles and organize a Library system - from my understanding! She will be working for Wycliffe! I was just about floored. This was Wednesday and she was leaving on Monday. Praise You Lord for allowing me to see Your plan for this lady in radical obedience come to complete fruition. As a speaker this does not happen that often as far as me getting to see the complete process of a message i delivered!! She was obedient, waited, and You have come through for her in a huge and awesome way!! She was just elated to tell me and praise Him! Thank you Lord - thank you!

There are times i walk off the stage and wonder if He was pleased. There are always those folks that yawn no matter how excited and passionate you are! They just need to yawn. Well as a speaker I get fixated on those people and at times allow Satan to play games with me while i am up there - listening to him whisper - they are not getting it, they are not hearing you, they think you stink, this is all garbage, you are losing them, you don't really believe this anyway!!!!!!!! It is warfare even up on stage as the Spirit is pouring forth from me!! Well, i walked off and placed my head on the Bible as another lady prayed to end the evening. How did i do Lord - I can not read Your whispers on my heart right now - the battle was raging tonight up there! I raised my head and a different lady jumped to me and said God had spoken greatly to her tonight and she knew what it was that she was suppose to do. I tell you right now as a speaker it is a billion times greater and more exciting to hear that God has spoken to someone than it is to hear that someone enjoyed your message. Yes those compliments are nice too, but I want to know what He is doing in others lives and how He showed up that night and spoke to them!!! I love that!!! Thank you Father for allowing me to see a bit of the beautiful tapestry you are weaving!! Love it!! Praise you and thank you!!
