Lord Jesus - today I did the old turn to the date and find the Proverbs. Some days I just love to be very creative in where You lead me in the Word. Some days I do not feel exactly lead in where to go. This is one of those days. So I landed on today's date in Proverbs 10:11a. "The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life." I had to dissect just a few words to give me more depth, but it turns out it pretty much means what you think. "righteous" means and honest word, truth, displaying the truth, being right (not as in being correct, but doing right.) And "life" is translated...............life, vitality, fresh running water, refreshment, alive, vigorous, etc.
Lord, as i have seen so often in my life, you have given me life. That life so often comes from close friends, but also those that I don't truly know that well too. I am amazed at the people you bring in my life to speak a Word of life to me and it is done in all righteousness. Oh Lord, please help me to recognize those times that you are doing it and I seem to be missing it. For some reason I remember a time a lady in Charlotte, one of the most godly women i know, called me to give me a Word she felt i was suppose to have. I remember thinking the whole time, I just don't get it. I am not sure I am going with this one - i wanted to, it just wasn't flowing for me. Help, Lord, I don't want to disappoint or squash her ability to discern what you are saying to her...... Her intentions were so pure and beautiful, but I just was not getting it. Today Lord, help me to get it!! Thank you
So a few people are coming to mind that are so wonderful about speaking life into me. I just want to say thank you and beg you to never stop. It is so refreshing and you are Christ with skin on to me. Your honesty is life - thank you thank you thank you.

Oh there are so many more in my life. It would take me all day to write about my parents! wow - love, love, love their honesty! Thank you so much, my dear, but if you only knew that what I bounce back your way in advice or truth is only a very small portion of what you speak into my life everyday!
As I write and I as a read your blog, this is what I can't get out of my mind for both of us as we try to put down on this virtual paper what God tells us:
"Could we with ink the ocean fill,
And were the skies of parchment made, Were every stalk on earth a quill, And every man a scribe by trade; To write the love of God above would drain the ocean dry;

Whatever we write, whatever we say -- may it always be to tell the matchless, measureless, endless love of God!!

P.S. By the way, THAT is my favorite hymn and when my friend, Lici, sang it at Deeper Still (on the fly, Travis said) it just about sent me on to Jesus!!! I'm trying to get her to record it for me.
