4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. [a] 5 Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates. Deut. 6:4-9
I don't have a lot of time right now as I will be quickly heading out the door to go serve a huge group of ladies in Nashville, IN, but they are from Indianapolis, IN. I am so very excited. My friend, Nathalie Huff, is coming with me too!
I just have to ask - do you decorate with God's word? One time we had the tv guy ask as he was fixing the stupid cable which I wish we didn't have...."Sir, are you a minister? You sure do have a lot of crosses and stuff in your house."
When Clay told me he had asked that I just shined with such great approval....or at least it was a compliment to me! To me I was trying to say - yes, we love the Lord. We want to remember Him all day long in everything we do - even sitting down to tie our shoes or stuffing our face!!! Jesus! Jesus! Jesus!
I know today this verse means more about internalizing the Word such as to memory, but I don't think there is much wrong with decorating with it as well. What do you think?
Do you have the Word on your door posts?
Do you talk about the Word with your children?
Is scripture on your mind often? coming, going, sit, lie, down?
Is the Word on your hands or your forehead - or in your forehead?
Do you decorate your life/house/children, etc. with the Word?

I like your blog. I think I need to decorate my life and home with God's Word more than I do!
