606 - I'm Flippin' and Floppin'!

Hey everyone, I love to give things away and bless whomever I can. So i fell in love with a pair of flip flops called Switchflops. You can Find them here. http://www.switchflops.com/. Yes, all you need is one pair of flip flops and then you just change the strap with each outfit. It is an incredible idea!!! I love it!!! They have more than flip flops as well. Go to the website and check out all the styles... you will love it!

So anyway - I asked if i could have a pair to giveaway on the SiestaFiesta Blog. They graciously obliged, but not with just one pair of shoes. They gave me a pair to giveaway on that site and then offered me another pair on my own. Well, my shoes are brand new and i don't need another pair so I thought I would give them away here. So here is your chance!!

I will have this giveaway up for the week. Winner will drawn next Sunday night and posted on Monday. If you are not a blogger and you still want to participate you still can. Just send me an email. Here is the catch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When you leave your comment of wanting to win I want you to also tell us a dream you have. A fun dream, you do not have to be all spiritual on me. I will accept crazy, hair brained dreams!! But you have got to leave that in the comment. Feel free to comment as many times as you want, but you must tell a different dream each time! K?K!

So here is my fun dream... I am very athletic. Even though I am getting older and older every day I would love it if someone took me for a certain amount of time and tried to make me the best whatever kind of sport player they thought I could be. Tennis, Basketball, Running (that would be a terribly hard task!!!), Swimming - whatever!!

So leave your comments!!!!!!!!! And I will be back on Monday morning with a winner!!

Love you all and Merry Christmas!

Leigh,

I left a comment just now but I'm not sure it actually went. Blogger gave me some sort of weird error message that said it had already been sent but I don't think I had even clicked send!!

Anyway, here it is again. Delete this comment if you already got the first one because I don't want to enter twice on the same comment!! That's kinda like cheating.

My dream is to see my daddy walk. He had polio when he was 16 and walked with a full leg brace and crutches the rest of his life. He didn't let that slow him down though.

My dream came true on Oct. 29th,2004---in heaven. He went home to be with Jesus that day and the minute he arrived in heaven he was healed from cancer and walked without crutches!! Hallelujah!!

Hi Leigh,

I looked at these flip flops and there is no way I can afford to buy a pair, so it would be wonderful to win a pair :o)

OK dreams..... I love to draw children's portraits. I use colored pencil, and it takes me about 40-60 hours to complete one. Needless to say, I don't get one finished very often. So my dream would be to either 1) be able to do portraits full time or 2) develop a technique to get them done in one tenth of the time!

Hugs,
Adrienne

You know that living in TX you cannot have enough flip flops so have mercy sister, I need new shoes (mostly because my daughter can now wear my size).

I am the proud mom to 9 of the most wonderful children in the world. Seven of my children are from the beautiful island that Haiti is located on. After my children are old enough and on their own it is my dream to go to Haiti to serve and live and of course if my children wish to join my husband and I then it would be that much better. I want to be used at a rescue center or a creche so that I can work with the children.
It is a big dream and if it is His will then he will pull it off. For now, it is my dream.
thanks Leigh

Okay, my comment disappeared! uggh!

Let's see if I can get this again..

I want to go to Egypt with the archaeologist Kara Cooney and find indisputable proof of the Exodus...You know, chariot wheels in the Sea - heiroglyphics of the Israelites, that kind of stuff. Not that I need proof, but she does. Since I think she is awesomely cool (She helped narrate the documentary on Queen Hatshepsut who many scholars believe was Moses' adopted mother and she ANSWERED ME when I emailed some questions to her - we are practically bff..), she's the scientist I'd love to see make the discovery and hopefully find Christ in the process! :)

Do I get the prize for the nerdiest dream? :))

Okay...my dream is to spend 10 minutes with two particular songwriters. First Travis Cottrell and second Dolly Parton. I know 2 totally different songwriters! BUT, I would love to pick their brains. :)

Thanks for hosting this! Hope you are having a great summer. :)

I have a dream that one day all men.....oh wait, that dream was already taken! hahaha Sorry, feeling a bit goofy today, I know, HARD TO BELIEVE!

Ok, my dream is to be the next Chonda Pierce! Girl, you know I love to make people laugh and that would be the ULTIMATE!! My other dream is to be a size 2. Even if I was just a skeleton with no muscles or tendons or anything I wouldn't be a 2 so that's my dream! ;-) Maybe my "glorified" body will be a 2! A girl can dream, can't she?

Love me some flops!

Hi Leigh!

Love this give away. You know I am a flip flops kind of girl.

Anyhow, my dream would be to show up a friend's house with $500 and tell her that whatever wish she had that fit within that budget, it had just been granted.

Oh course, I'd love to take her shopping to get whatever it is she wanted as well.

Would that not be one of the coolest days ever???

As a matter of fact, I think I'll start a saving up fund today to make that happen. Smiles!

Leigh,

Love the flip flops.

My dream would be to have this little children's book that I have written published. It is about a little girl who only feels pretty in her princess costume. It is a story about true beauty and the way God sees us.

I would also love to be on the Amazing Race with my best friend Sandie!

Shonda said...

Leigh--thanks for hosting this. I love the flip flops & like Ange said living in Texas you cant have enough.

Anonymous--we'll either be on the same Amazing Race or different ones, but I also want to be on Amazing Race.

Leigh--that's my dream--to be on Amazing Race with my husband. I started training (aka overcoming fears and taking adventure trips) last week by going rock climbing. I climbed cliffs and repelled with my husband. It was so fun. (esp. cause we didnt argue! that's his fear of being on A.R. on tv with me.)

Okay--just few comments to the commenters if I may please.

Lisa aka Preachers Wife--remember me? I was in your dream. I also want to go to Egypt with you. I love history and archeology!! I have some info about Ninevah too that would be great!!

Steph--only 10 minutes with Travis and Dolly. I'd be a bit more greedy and ask for one hour each!!

Leigh this is so fun. I'll be back to enter again. There is a dealer in my town. I'm going to go look at them!!

Love & blessings in Christ---

I would like to sit alone on a beach for a whole day with a book, journal, my Bible and mp3 player (and of course something to drink)...then I'd like a nice dinner with my family of seafood, pineapple, asparagus and sweet tea...then I'd like to sleep uninterrupted for 8 1/2 hours....then I'd like to go for an all day hike with my family to a remote place and eat a pre-packed picnic together. Shall I go on? Hee hee! Oh and the money to pay for something like this every summer.

Hmm....dreams. Let's see. I've had some crazy ones! I think the funniest one was when I dreamed I was a cowgirl searching for my cowboy! It was pretty funny, and I found him, but he was FACELESS. I know...what's up with my mind!!!

Love these flops!!

Oh....forgot...

"I have a dream..."

My dream is that my children will one day be in head over hills in love with God and serving him -- either in lay ministry or full time Christian ministry.

Another dream is for my husband to retire early and when the kids are gone to college for us to travel ALL. THE. TIME!

One more -- I have a dream to write a Bible study. I don't have a topic, can't find an untapped niche, etc., but...

"I have a dream..."

I have to laugh at your comment about running. I have always disliked running, and now I fear I am becoming a runner. I ran 2.7 miles yesterday for no apparent reason except I wanted to. And I am planning on doing it again tomorrow. Far from a dream, I think I'm living a nightmare. LOL!
My dream? It's crazy, but I would love to one day find myself singing with either Kathy Troccoli (my favorite Christian recording artist) or Barry Manilow (my favorite secular recording artist). Not on stage or anything, just hanging out singing some songs together.

I have just now started to see the glory in a good flip flop -- the thing between the toes took some getting used to for me. Now that I'm in, Switchflops sound awesome! You are quite a generous blogger with this deal! thanks!

My dream -- I hesitate to put it 'out there' for so many reasons, but none of us has time for me to detail all of my neuroses! My dream is to see my name listed as "author" on the cover of a published book!

I would love to adopt a little girl from a country and give her a wonderful home and life. I would also love to perform on stage somewhere, somehow, in front of a huge crowd screaming my name! And, I have no talent whatsoever in this arena so that would NEVER happen! Ha!!!

Thanks Leigh. Take care friend.

Hava great day and don't forget how beautiful you are ;)

Fun flip flops!!!

And my dream is someday (when my kids are older?) to be in full-time ministry - speaking/teaching, counseling/prayer ministry, leading worship... whatever God lets me do to help women walk in freedom because of His truth!

(And if I can REALLY dream here... I'd be able to hire someone to clean my house and cook for my fam since I'm not good at either of those things!!!!! Ha ha!)

A flip-flop giveaway!!! That is awesome! You are so generous!! Thank you!

I would have to say my biggest dream is to become a published author. I want to write a really good book. I'm just not sure what I want to write about!

Another dream I have is to adopt a baby girl from China. I know this dream will become reality. I'm just not sure when.

My dream?! Oh, I have many.

But one that I would love to have happen sooner than later is meeting the man of my dreams, marrying him, and being his wife and then have a family. I know MANY of you are at this stage already, but at 23, this is my dream. I'm just waiting on the Lord. I know HIS timing is perfect, but a girl can dream, can't she?!

I would also love for that man to be more than I could ever imagine! :)

Okay, this is too fun! LOVE the flip flops. I am going to tell my BFF about this giveaway because she and I both are flip flop freaks!

Love ya, Leigh! Have missed you recently. My life is crazy, crazy!!!

Can't wait to hug your neck so soon!!!

Ok, so my dream would be to take a trip with my husband and children to the Smokey Mountains and show them where I grew up. I want to take them to the top of the smokies so they can see what God has created for us to see. I think my children believe American is flat and filled with corn fields. :o)

Have a great week!

Don't feel bad Threegirlygirls, I thought the same thing!

I think my current dream would be for my husband to take all three kids for the day so that I could have the day to myself to do whatever I wanted. Of course I'd probably wind up sleeping the whole day away but it's nice to dream about.
Just for a day because then I'd miss them too much!

Dear Leigh,

You and "switchflops" are both so generous! I love this idea. Oh, I have many, many dreams.

One is that my four sons would serve the Lord wholeheartedly. They have been trained in the way they should go...I am awaiting seeing them LIVE it!!!

I would also love to meet Ann Kiemel Anderson. If you've not read any of her books, they are great! (I think some can be found at www.half.com). She even wrote one on running that I think you'd enjoy. Her book called "I Gave God Time" was so inspirational, and I was motivated to pray like she had before I met and married my wonderful husband (almost 22 years of marriage!!!)

I would like to write 2 books. The years before marriage would be called "Nothing Normal" and the years after would be "Nothing Else Normal".

I loved the idea of the switchflops and my "wheels" have been churning. I would like to make beaded straps to use with the flip flops.

Sorry to be so long...you've gotten me fired up!!! (And this is a good thing!)

May God bless you....and you and your family continue to be in my prayers.

One is I'd love to be able to dance. I'm so uncordinated but always think it would be such fun to dance like they do on "Dancing With the Stars."

Also, I'd love to meet Beth Moore and may just have that dream come true next month at the Siesta Fiesta.

Thanks for the comment on Patty's blog.

What a neat style of flip-flops. I love me some flipping-floppings.

I have a very serious dream but you asked for funny or light hearted.

Even my funny isn't funny.

The first thought that came to mind when I read the word "dream" besides my serious dream was a dream of being a motivational speaker. The first step might be to become a published writer.

Paula V said...

You said we could email as many times as we want so I'm going to go ahead and tell you my real dream, serious one.

It would be that my dead marriage would be restored. In very short, my Christian husband unbiblically divorced me and is being gravely deceived by the enemy. No adultery involved but years of his own baggage and brokennes. I believe once the Lord restores his relationship with God then we'll see real healing in our non-existant relationship.
That's it.

You know I have that baby girl from China dream too. Remember the story I told you about the one that came to the Dr.'s office when I worked there? Anyway, that's another dream for me too!!

Hey Leigh--Stopping by for another entry and a chance to win those shoes.

I dream of having a home with a large library in it; the kind with tall ceilings and books on three of the walls with the ladder that slides along the wall. I also want my desk in there with sofa/coffee table area and table research area where research papers/books can be spread out. And the 4th wall having large windows (that somebody else cleans) with a spectacular view of a valley and mountains.
