I am convinced it is not just women that I am to reach out to. I have always had a passion for the college and singles girls - youth certainly too. Now any younger is a stretch for me. I just can't hang with them - they lose me - my attention span is not that long!! I am serious!!!

Anyway - in an effort to connect with them more - it was easy in Charlotte as they were always at my house, etc., but here we don't really have any close colleges that my church or any church networks with - So anyway - in an effort to connect with them more I have opened a Myspace account. And I need friend.............. I have one and she is faceless. Please go be my friend!!

Another reason I am doing this is because I refuse to be in the dark about all the computer stuff that is going on. When my son says something or asks me about something I want to be educated and participating as much as an old momma can!!

473 - Praise the Lord

Good morning Jesus – what a great day. Hubby got home very late last night, but actually I had not gone to bed too much earlier. There are so many wonderful things on my plate – I WILL be positive – and not enough hours in the day, or night! I am so excited for the dental appointment today, not!!!! I mean Yeah, I forgot I was being positive. Ha ha! But then I think Clay is going to meet me for the morning walk!!! It will be so good to catch up on the last few days events without any interruptions! We will have to talk fast since we will only have just about an hour. Then Lord, so much to do – write a letter explaining the focus of the ministry, write out the aerobic survey, mail some packages (sold some purses!!!!!!!!!!!), and get to writing on the book. The most paramount thing is to study for my retreat this weekend. I am really, really pumped. The Lord has placed on me a passion for this weekend and I know He has a Word for me to deliver!!! Oh Father may the ears be ready to receive – including mine! DO more than I can ever imagine!! Thank you Lord! Knock our socks off!!!

Ps. 117 is a real short Psalm of praise. Very, very short and to the point. Praise You!!! My heart jumped out of bed this morning – notice that was not my body – singing your praise and shouting about your goodness and grace. Lord, my rollercoaster ride this week has been extravagant. Why that – because life with you is such a wonderful adventure. Yes, many highs and lows, but yet constant peace and excitement all at the same time. Lord, I know there are many Christians believe that life in You and sold out to You is no fun, no excitement, such a downer!! That is not true!!! Oh Lord, my hear goes out to those that have not grasped Your JOY!!!!!!!!!!! Living out of the Joy of Jesus!! That is what it is all about to me. I am not saying having happiness all the time and that all situations are joyous, but when we allow Him to resonate all the way to the marrow of our bones HIS joy can not help but spring forth!! Oh Lord, I praise you!! Even the rocks cry out, but this morning I too cry out of Your love, and JOY!!!!!!!! Thank you Father!!

In a couple of days my friend and I, Rachel Roberson, are going to have a purse/basket party. She is the one that took all my purses to a craft show the other day and sold a bunch for me!! She also makes these incredible themed baskets. I need to take some pictures and put them on the blog for you!! You would want one – quick like!! Anyway, she has a small business doing this to make a few extra dollars and because she is so dog-gone talented it just spills out. This is one of the many things she can do!!

SOOOOO…You know me – I can not just do something without the marketing, networking, promotions side of me coming out. My purpose in the party is to raise funds for the ministry. So I wrote short note on email about what we are doing as a ministry. I wanted to put some ads in the local papers, but knew that would totally eat up any of my sales. So creativity that does not hit me very often began to flow. How can I get this in the paper but not have to pay – hopefully!! So like I said I wrote out a small note explaining what my ministry purpose was – training talented speaker to go to the limit of what God can do through them – there is no limit - and also giving a church the funds to have one of our great speakers or another one that they normally could not afford. AND then I explained that our most recent deal landed was bringing Leslie Nease from Survivor to Southern Illinois!!!!!! And then added the part that we are having this small fundraiser so that more things like this can happen for the “small” church. That must have caught some eyes… I started just emailing a few around here and then before you know it I was emailing cities a good 2 hours away. And get this – they have been emailing me back wanting to do a STORY on the ministry and all!!!!!!!!!!! That is free!!! Holy cow – God is it You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!! Ironically I have not heard from my hometown papers, but I think they will come around!! Oh Lord, give us gerat turn out and success. May strangers that some to the house feel Your presense and grace. May even my nasty carper that my kids have destroyed in the short time we have been here cry out your holiness. May You be glorified!! May the opportunity to share your love be evident!! Oh Lord – can you give to us success in Your eyes!!

Fairy Tale - No, the Real Thing

I was so excited to see that Elleigh still remembered Holly and loved her more! Holly always knew just the right gift for the girls.
Holly always makes you feel as if there is nothing more important that talking with you - even when she a had a whole room to go around to and speak with.
They could not have enjoyed this job more.

What a gorgeous day.

The kids and I were at a wedding this week of our babysitter in Charlotte and her now husband that she met in seminary - Holly and Dimitri. Dimi is from the Ukraine and Holly from all over. Her father in a pastor now serving at a church in Rockymont, NC.

Holly has an incredible family. Holly has 3 sisters. If my girls can turn out even half as good as any of these girls - oh Jesus, may it please be so. From the moment I first met them all as very young girls they all had a heart for Jesus. They have a desire for evangelism like i have never seen in such young people. Their naivety keeps them bold and searching for that next person to share Jesus with. The momma is so humble and you know a prayer warrior. Their dad is a fun loving big teddy bear. Of course they have had their ups and downs, but what a family. To have the privilege to know Holly like a best friend leave me just speechless.

The wedding was much like what i would describe a Heavenly fairly tale! It was not extravagantly decorated, but it was simple in purity. It was gorgeous inside and out just the structure alone. This is the same church that Billy And Ruth Graham got married in many years ago. Montreat College. Everything was to glorify God and they actually really did it. I mean everything. They said their own vows and Holly first spoke hers in Russian, Dimi's first of 5 languages. He is a sharp dude! Their first kiss WAS their first kiss! I could go and on. To know them and to be there was a worship experience. I left there that day, even with the stress of getting 3 little princesses ready to be flower girls, having worshipped Jesus. I know their life will be one of great joy in Christ. I have no idea the magnitude that the Lord will choose to use them, but i know it will be huge according to Christ standards.

If there is any way i could find a Holly for my girls i would. In Charlotte, Holly always brought the girls to Jesus each and every night she was there and thank you Lord, she was there a lot. She would call them on the phone and encourage them to seek the Lord. Everything and yes, i do mean everything, was to glorify Him and she took a personal responsibility in bringing my girls closer to Jesus even at their young ages. Oh how i miss Holly and pray for another influence like that in their lives!! I have not even mentioned how much my Tucker loves her too - he is too big to show it much these days, but he does have a great affection for her!

It was not a fairly tale, It was the real thing!!

393 - Farmer and Firefighter Gray exposed!

Today i taught the girls how to "shuck" corn. I think that is what you call it, but i am not sure if what i taught them was right. I know I am not making my cotton pickin' (and that would be literal) mom too proud. I really should know how to do this! She was amazing - she picked cotton at 5 or 6 years old and then walked to school up hills both ways in a lot of snow... Isn't that the story mom? - hee hee. Just kidding ya! But we did have fun, but found no worms...

Start with green and then it turns yellow. But how do i get it to pop?? I bagged up some to give to the neighbors. I heard Sarahjane yell to Emmajoy, "Mom wants us to go sale corn to the neighbors." NOOOOOOOOOOOO, that is not what i said! Come back here!

You can barely see Maya, our BOY cat (he is going to need therapy for that name), stuck in a tree. The girls think he is shuck, i mean stuck, and have to climb any tree like a firefighter.

I am actually very proud of them being able to climb trees. Emmajoy is not scared to grab anything by the nape of the neck.... She learned it honest! The sissies were so proud of her rescue. She will be the talk of the street today!

My friend from Girlfriends in God designed it. I might have already told you that once before. Patty was incredible and made it up in no time. Love to all of you lurking around on this blog. I can tell you with all my heart - even though it is not too pretty at times - I do want to serve Jesus and nothing else. At least that is my heart's cry. These silly ideas of purses, T-shirts, DVD, CD, etc. - it is all about Him and it is all Him. I could have never thought of these things on my own! So I guess i should not call them silly.
