Wow Lord - I just finished my Daniel study. I still have so many questions. I still have so many things that i never knew were going to happen...
1) Satan will be captured and then loosed for a short time.
2) We will be judged on what we have done - pure motives, missed opportunities, etc.
3) There is a whole lot of stuff that has to happen before the end ever comes and this is after Christ actually returns!
4) During Christ's reign there is the possibility of someone to reject Him and not get saved.
5) Death is Christ's worst enemy and what he will destroy last!!
6)There will be a time when Satan is captured and man will still reject Christ. This is to prove that man is "rotten" (in my words) and can not blame Satan for their own rejecting of Christ.
Lord Jesus - i know there has been no other study where i have gotten more of a healthy fear for you than this one! I see Your power and creativity and Your massive control and unbelievable timing! I am so impressed - if that is ok to say - and in just awe, reverence, and fear of You! Praise You Lord and Savior. I think the most important thing i have learned from this whole study is that i know nothing, You know everything, I know You and You certainly know me! I am Yours and that is all that matters. I am excited to see Your Face and touch Your hand! Thank you Lord!!
Protect Toyia and I as we travel to Highpoint. Thank you for yesterday in Cary and getting to see my old college room-mate - CC. Wow, what a neat ride You have her on!
I love you , Lord!

Bring it all together
Good Morning Jesus! It is a great cool, brisk morning, but one that i was glad to see come. I have soooooooooooooooooo much to do and so little time to do it, but with each day passing it just means one day less of worry about getting it all done. I think that is great!
We went to my mom and dad's for thanksgiving and absolutely had a fantabulous time. I did get the yucky virus my kids had for one day, but it passed within 24 hours and we were good. We went to Dollywood with the rest of Southern America - at least all of Tennessee. It was incredibly crowded! We only had one disappearing act and it was my dad with Tucker. But all is well and we had a great time. We found them and all was good.
Lord Jesus - I am at the very end of Daniel. In fact i have one day left. It is kind of weird kind of ending. I mean we are ending on a topic that really there is not much in the Bible about. The time that Christ will come and reign on the earth. His 1000 year reign. But it is going to be so incredibly exciting! Just think - no road rage, no fussing, no complaining, no fighting, all peace, all getting along, and all liking it! That is really exciting to a momma of 4 kids doing the fussing and fighting, etc. But also to know there will be a place for them to grow up in that is completely safe and peaceful!
I know there had to be many things that Daniel dreamed and prophesied about and he wondered how it was ever going to play out and if he even thought himself crazy at times. I too have felt the same way about things that i had been given "visions" or ideas or even strong leadings on. I can not let go of my "Nehemiah Mission" or the fact that i feel called to go to Africa some day. I do think the Nehemiah Mission will have some place in Illinois, but i am not sure how. Even Clay can see that one. But here is a cool thing. I was talking with my good friend Courtney from Norris City the other day and she happened to mention she was making some fried catfish for a friend from Africa that comes to stay with them or in their church often. I didn't have time to get a lot of details on it all, but she also mentioned that he wanted to bring a team back with him some day to do some missions work. Could it be, Lord - is that how you are going to "bring it all together"? You also played that song in my ear this morning (by Natalie Grant) as a reminder i am sure! Thank you and i wait in expectation!
Lord, i still know there are many things You have for me to do in my days left in Charlotte. Please help me to order my time and be diligent to do all You want. Make me sensitive to Your leadings! But on a much bigger scale help me to be ready to walk in Your way. I want to walk where You would walk and be where You are working. I don't want to be a pretender and i certainly don't want to be false! I want to be where You are going and right in the center of Your will. I want to be used in any way and in any capacity You see fit. Help me to not try to see more into things than You really intend. I want to be on Your highway of life!!! I love You!
Is. 35:8 And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness. The unclean will not journey on it; it will be for those who walk in that Way; wicked fools will not go about on it.

The Antichrist
Oh Lord, I know I have learned so much in this Daniel study, but i am wondering if it is all going to come together and make sense? I love things concrete and very simple. Prophesy, especially that which has not taken place yet, is not simple or concrete. So i am not going to get definitive answers and many things are interpretation. Beth Moore encourages us to go and study for ourselves to see what interpretation we would agree with - yeah right! I can not even spell eschatology! It is like i want to be smarter, but i am scared i won't get there so why try! I know pitiful!!! There is always amazing power when you pray before trying to study something and I know You could do that for me again and again!
So today's lesson ended in Matt. 25: 31-46. This is a common passage, i just never knew it was about end times! Today she repeated again that the antichrist will most likely come "from the people of ancient Rome". This is found and Daniel 7 and 9. But Chapter 11:36-45 tell the most about him. Evil - we ain't seen nothing yet folks! But anyway, back to Matt. it states, "the Son of Man comes in all his glory". From what i think i have learned this is after the tribulation. It refers to the "nations being gathered" and separated - good from bad. What this means is that after the rapture all the Christians will be taken to heaven to await judgement. The tribulation will be taking place and satan will have been unleashed. During this time people will come to know the Lord. I can imagine those that thought they were Christians, but really knew the truth or those that always played church and yet never committed or those that were just lost and come to realize where everyone has gone and the Jews have the chance to come to know Him personally!!!!!! Those are the ones that might confess He is Lord. But this will not be without a great price. One like we have never seen! So then Jesus comes back His final time to take away those new in Christ and totally destroy Satan - yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The whole point of this is that there will a chance for those "left behind" to come to know Him. But those that are left and come to know Him will not be judged on what works they did, but "their works will (helping others come to know Him and that means putting their lives in REAL danger) will prove they are redeemed" - saved. This is so cool - the JEWS are not forgotten!!! But the thing to not forget is that we know nothing as to when this is all going to happen. Is it today Lord? Tomorrow, next year, who knows.... He does! Even more importantly, we don't know when our time will come. We don't know if we will make through the tribulation or be killed before - those that are unsaved now. So if anyone reading this right now does not know Him as Savior - Jesus Christ only - you need to get that right!! Please i beg you!!
1) Confess you are a sinner
2) Confess you need a Savior - Jesus Christ
3) Acknowledge that He died for You to pay the penalty for your sins
4) Ask Him to come and live in your heart and that He is the Son of God
5) Thank Him for dieing for you and you will live for Him.
6) Believe and go tell someone - anyone!!!
It is that simple and amazing!!! He will save you, from terrible times now and ones to come!
Thank you Jesus for my salvation! I can not wait to see You face to face!! I love you!

I am so Amazed
Wow, Lord, I am still so amazed at my study of Daniel. It is incredible and just so involving. I possibly studied 2 maybe 3 verses today and it was about overwhelming. To think this was all prophesy to Daniel, but is history to me it absolutely astounding! You are coming, just as You said, but in Your time. We can not predict any of that. But now i am waiting and watching more than anything! Make me a Daniel, one ready to receive Your words and specifics of life!
Yesterday I was suppose to speak to a Stonecroft group again, but Elleigh got the throw up thang and was unable to go. Clay had to be gone some last night and i could not have any sitter come over with her still throwing up! Today is still the same issue. I have already cancelled with them as well. Only today i have all the kids home with me since they are not going to school. So it will be quite a task taking care of Elleigh and keeping everyone else happy or at least content! We need to be completely well for Thanksgiving at my mom's! Who wants to be sick and not at your own home. And who wants another throwing up in your home!! Thank You it is my mom's and not a stranger! I hope today is our last day of it!
Lord Jesus, I lift up Clay to you. He had a yucky mole removed and for the last 2 weeks we thought everything was fine. But they called him back yesterday to tell him something. It was at the end of the day and he was to call back today. I know he did not sleep well and can worry himself to death. Lord, ease his mind. May it be nothing at all. Allow him to feel Your presence and sense Your peace. May we sing Your praises as we get a "nothing at all" kind of report. We will sing Your praises anyway, I promise! Lord, my honest thought is that this is not real good timing. But i know my ways and thoughts are not Yours as goes the same with Your timing and mine! Lord, You are sovereign and I will trust in You! Guide us and heal us and keep us!
Thank you for Your work in my life - thank you for your presence in my life, and thank you for your forgiveness!! I feel so unworthy of your grace and mercy, but shout a big thank you for it all. Thank you that no matter what i have done i can still approach the throne with confidence and boldness to receive that mercy and grace. Forgive me Lord, oh Lord forgive me! Clean me out and make me whole! I will trust!

The End of a Season
Lord Jesus, my time with this Beth Moore study and Daniel is coming to a close. It has been great and very mind boggling. There have definitely been times that i didn't know how to relate all the history with my personal walk other than just being in awe of all that God revealed to a man after Your own heart. Overall, i think that is my prayer - to be the kind of woman that You can reveal things to and have trust and faith in to do as You ask. Bottom line - be found faithful!
Session 11 - the video time may have been the greatest one to me. It was by far the most intense - I mean, it was the one that she was the most fired up about making sure we "get it" and "do the thang" as she says. The fist 30 minutes were spent on examining the effects of ceasing daily sacrifices. This is what Antiochus did in his reign. He made all sacrifices to be ceased and no more worship. He defiled the temple and God would have his way with him! Oh my!!! Today - have sacrifices ceased???
Beth Moore explained that living a selfish life is the ceasing of daily sacrifices. We are living sacrifices and that means a life opposite of selfishness. "If we miss the whole life of sacrificial living then we will miss our whole purpose for life." This is the part that meant to much to me - We want things BIG and in a SHORT amount of time. We are not willing to wait and put in our time and do our part. We want NOW. Oh how i am so guilty of that Lord Jesus. Of course You know, but i confess that and ask that You help me to change my perspective and ways. Help me to be patient and wait on You. the pursuit of all other things than You can and do become idols in my life and that breaks Your heart AND not something you will stand for! Help me!
A sacrificial life is one that will cost me. The world will tell me to not get out of my comfort zone - but You call us to be stretched. The world says don't go too far - don't get too caught up in this spiritual thing - But You call us to go the distance and abandon all for the sake of the call. The world says to give only in comfort and don't worry so much about others - You call us to give extensively until it hurts! The world tell us you can have it all and do it all - but You tell us that we have to make a choice and to choose the best not just the good!
Lord, i hear You screaming out to me. Or at least i hear it as a scream. I will obey. This week has been a great week. Lots of speaking and still much more to come. I am going to Conover this weekend to do a retreat. I am excited, but i am also excited to get home and be with Clay. Then I speak again on Monday and Tuesday with Stonecroft. Testimony deal again - i really liked that way of ministry!
There is no other life than living for You and with You and in You! No other savior, but You. All other things are rubbish compared to You. May I never serve anything other than You! Clean my heart and make my prayer the honest truth! I want my heart to beat for You and with You! Do Your work in me. Make me ready for Your service! Please bring me more opportunities to serve You! I love you!
Isaiah 17: 10 You have forgotten God your Savior; you have not remembered the Rock, your fortress. Therefore, though you set out the finest plants and plant imported vines,
11 though on the day you set them out, you make them grow, and on the morning when you plant them, you bring them to bud, yet the harvest will be as nothing in the day of disease and incurable pain.

Set Your Mind
Daniel 10:12 Then he continued, "Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them."
Oh Father - Thank you for speaking to me this morning in my quiet time! It was great to hear from You so clearly! The verse above has just struck a cord with me and i can not get past it. Lord, when i am selfish about my walk with You i only think about how/if my requests are being answered, this verse above really encourages me. Having our requests answered is not something that we ignore or at least i can not. I think i will always be one to ask and still I believe God wants and requires that we ask! But here in this verse lies the key!
"Set your mind and humble" - that is huge. I can not expect God to move just because I ask. Yes He will because He is sovereign, more times than not it will have nothing to do with my request. He is doing something that He needs to do and that is that! Too many times I can not get just over the hump to victory! I get stuck in mediocrity and can actually see freedom or victory, but fall short of making it. I do this all the time in a diet. I lose the first 10 pounds and get real comfortable and instead of buckling down to lose the next 10, i let up and gain it all back! UGH!!!
God requires things of me! He requires a "set" mind and a "humble" heart. He requires us to do the Micah 6:8. He requires that we abandon all for the sake of the call. He requires that we love others more than ourselves. He requires that we be a "do-gooder". He requires us to move and not just sit. Yes, set your mind, but not sit on set. MOVE!
I have seen people want God to do things in their lives and move in big ways and change their circumstances, etc................. but then never move their own bodies. They never step out on the faith that they talk about so proudly. "God will take care of me and He is going to provide. God is going to move." Or even go as far to say, "God has gifted me in this and then never use it!" "I am waiting for God to open the doors", but never do their part. No, God doesn't need us, but He does requires things of us. He does require our cooperation and our obedience!
Oh Lord Jesus - let me be a Daniel. Let me be the one that You can answer quickly because of a set mind and humble heart. You have a ton of work to do on me, but at least we have some time, the rest of my life. Long or short i don't know. I would think long since i have so much work to be done! Jesus, Beth Moore made the point today about how Daniel could be trusted because of his faithfulness over the long haul. She noted that Moses and Abraham were used as old men, but Daniel was used from his teenage years on because of his trustworthiness and faithfulness. I know You saw him as trustworthy. Can you trust me? I love you!
Please bless the time tonight i have in Asheville. It is a big night! See you there, Lord!

Moving on - it is all in the timing
Jesus - the stars were out so beautifully this morning. I was ready to get up this morning. It was like i slept with one eye open, maybe i had too much tea last night! But it was good! Love me some sweet tea!!! with lemons!
Wow - last nights video with Beth Moore was just incredible! We discussed how there is a heavenly war going on far greater than anything we could imagine or experience here. I learned that Israel has their own angelic prince named Michael. We learned about evil angels called demons. We even learned how Michael got held up on his way to revealing a message to Daniel. Isn't that wild - he got held up. I just never thought of an angel getting held up and not able to do its job... neat - it was awesome!
But this morning we talked about timing. Oh Lord, Your timing is always perfect, but honestly at times not at all like i was expecting! It was the first and third year that Daniel received his visions during both Belshazzar and Darius reigns. It was during both reigns when Daniel was far from home and even in the final reign while he was alive the Jews were decreed to go back to their homeland, Jerusalem - this is the Esther occurrence! But it was during these times that God revealed big things and himself to Daniel while he was not in the comforts of his home or even homeland! Beth went on and on about God taking us different places to do great things. Getting us out of comfort zones to reveal His plans or Himself like no other time. He has done this for me one very memorable time when i was in Jr. High. I was at an Al Denson concert and God very clearly spoke (impressed on my heart) to me that i would speak some day. It was as clear as a bell. I had just moved back to Texas, hurting because my friends had moved on, missing my dad something terrible as mom and i were living by ourselves as my dad finished out his job in New York, and at a very weird stage of life - all my friends were developed into women and my body was still waiting - and just happened to have my complete mouth and chin covered in fever blisters. Not a good way to look at "camp" when you are wanting to meet a boy. I was not at home, very lonely, and confused about what God was doing in our lives. It was then, completely needing a word, empty of myself and empty of all teenage wants that God reached down and spoke to me. "I will use you and you will speak." It tears me up even now as i see His provisions. My heart is leaping for joy, Jesus Joy, because i know He has never let me down. He can't!
Lord this is why i can not help but be excited for this move coming up. You have always been there and always will. I have no way to believe anything else. I know there will be some tough days - i just had one of those 2 days ago in Charlotte. But yesterday you took away my tears and gave me reason to shine and hold my chin up. My sadness had nothing to do with moving, it was all complete selfishness and feeling left out. I had gotten word that I was not used for a conference that i so wanted to be part of and i also got a letter from a agency saying i was not their caliber speaker to represent. One can not always get yes's, but the no's hurt and are no fun. So i begin thinking - poor pitiful me, i am never included, i will never get anywhere, i have no coattails to ride on, i will never have that lucky break,............................ Do you see my problem - "I".
So yesterday after noon a husband of a prominent speaker/singer in Nashville called me and said some really great things. He was not able to talk long as he and his wife were headed out the door to do a Christian cruise. Now would that be cool or what... Anyway - he and his wife had seen my website, heard my tape, and wanted to know if he could represent me - he said, "you got it". I do not say all that to toot my horn, but to drive home the point of His timing is not ours and sometimes He has to take us away to reveal His ways, plan, and time!! I was at a low point, where He may very well have needed me, and then blessed my socks off. This guy may never get me a "gig", but his words were the encouragement straight from Jesus, i believe!
He is taking me away from my home - the place i have lived the longest in my life - 11 years. But then again, do i have a home??? (People always ask where i am from and i never know how to answer that. I mostly answer i am homeless, ha ha!) Change will be great, i mean lots of change, but I am ready. We are going to Clay's home, but not mine. It will become home as all the other places i have lived, i am sure. So Lord Jesus, i am ready for You to reveal something about Yourself or some things to me - whichever Your prefer. I am waiting and watching! Bless Your holy Name - the one i place all my trust in! I love you!
He answers, but Still Waiting
Good Morning Jesus! I got up this morning and took the time to go and visit the streets. It was a beautiful morning as You are already parting the skies to allow sunshine in today. The last couple of mornings i have turned my running into a really fast walk. I have really enjoyed myself and seem to get out of the bed a bit easier knowing i am not going to have to run. Maybe i am not meant to be a runner. I know running works so many more calories, at least i think it does, but i enjoy walking so much more. I am able to still sing to my music and not get too filthy sweaty! I think i have a "you're an athlete, you must run" kind of mentality to get over.
Yesterday was a bummer day. There were things in my mind that i could not take captive. My thoughts were getting the best of me and it was all very selfish. I was having one of those jealous kinds of days and just not being thankful for one single thing in my life. I was upset because i had gotten on the scale to begin with. I think that can ruin any person's day no matter how big or small you are when you have gained a few. Halloween was not good for me and then traveling to Illinois and eating all the Gray's food. I told them we can not eat like that very often. I did find out that the town chiropractor just opened a small gym with state of the art equipment. But here is the neat thing... when you become a member you just get a key to the place to workout whenever you want. To keep costs down he didn't want to hire someone to be there all the time, so everyone just gets their own key - how cool is that! Thank you Lord, i feel like that is a gift just for me - for such a time as this! Thank you!
I am coming close to an end in my Daniel study. We will begin week 10 tonight. I have really enjoyed my time, and wonder what i will do next. I heard she is now coming out with an Esther study - i could just scream, I LOVE the Esther story!!!! Courage, faith, love, commitment, contentment, boldness, etc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Daniel 9:23 - As soon as you began to pray, an answer was given.
This morning Lord we were studying about how in some way You do answer all of our prayers of course in Your own time. So while i am thinking i am still waiting for answers, they are already given, i just have to wait for them to be exposed - that includes a "NO"! But for me the most compelling idea this morning is that we have to make our requests known. We can not just assume, even though of course He does, that God knows what we want. He wants to hear me make my requests known. He wants me to verbalize them. He wants to hear the faith in my voice as compared in my heart, possibly! Sometimes i have to speak it out loud so that my heart will believe! Lord, i praise you and I love you! I am excited for this day because You are everything. Help me to believe and wait and ask and then believe some more! I love you!
